Text amend on St Albans Festival Review…

This just in from Julian Mount:

On page 13 (bottom of column 1) of Unicorn Issue 144, a review of the St Albans Festival Concert on 16 June 2018 states that Julian’s winning song in the Watford Folk Club song writing contest was “Skeletons In My Closet”.

Although this song (actually titled “Skeletons”) is one of his songs, it is his song “Waiting For A Rainbow” (also played that night) which won the contest.

Apologies for this inaccuracy…

Watford Folk Club celebrate their 10th Birthday on the 12th of October 2018!!!!!!

This just in from Watford Folk Club:

Watford Folk Club celebrate their 10th Birthday on the 12th of October 2018!!!!!!
Over the years, we have been privileged to host many well-known artists (too many to list here!) and to have encouraged “up and coming” performers to establish themselves on the folk scene. We have also been involved with activities organised by local councils and groups.

Our annual “Write a Folk Song” Competition is now a permanent fixture in the folk calendar.

The support from our members, artists who have performed, other local clubs Unicorn Magazine, and the venue (The Pump House Trust and Arts Centre) has been invaluable and is very much appreciated by our committee members, past and present.

We are proud to have been able to bring the best in Folk, Roots and Acoustic Music to Watford and surrounding areas over the past decade, and we are delighted that the fabulous Polly Morris Band will join us to celebrate our 10th Birthday on 12th October , along with our special guest MC for the evening, our own Mr. Julian Mount.
Do come along and celebrate with us (minimum donation for entry – £10.00) at
